Nadine studied a BA in French and Spanish at Kings College. She also trained at MCI and completed her teacher training at Iverna Gardens Montessori. On obtaining her diploma she started to teach French privately to children. On the side she set up a Saturday ‘Fun French club.’
They decided to start a children’s yoga/play utilising their shared Montessori skills. Thus co-founding Bouncing Buddhas in 2006. Ladan and Nadine trained here in London and New York in children's yoga. They hold teaching certifications through ‘Junes yoga,’ which is registered with the wheel of yoga, Karma Kids yoga and Little Flower yoga. They both continually attend workshops/seminars in New York to bring the latest yoga methods to their studio.
Ladan’s favourite yoga pose is bow pose/ king cobra, because its fun to rock and feel like you are flying. Nadine’s favourite is camel pose, because it gives her back the greatest stretch after a fun packed day with the kids.
Between them, they have a command of four languages and their early teaching exposure to children of many cultures allows for them to build an immediate bond with any child. Ladan and Nadine’s yoga training is representative of both European and American influences and its practice results in a unique form of different exercises for children. Ladan and Nadine’s enthusiastic personalities bring a positive and exciting twist to this already unique children's activity.
